TRE®

TRE® stands for Tension, Stress & Trauma Release Exercise. It is an innovative and liberating series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. TRE® is based on the fundamental idea, backed by recent research, that stress, tension and trauma are both psychological and physical.

TRE® emerged out of Dr. David Berceli’s work with large, traumatized communities. His observations and explorations led him to understand that Neurogenic tremors, TRE®’s reflexive muscle vibrations are a natural shaking/vibrating response: it appears to be the body’s own built-in system for quieting down the brain and releasing muscular tension as a way of healing itself from chronic stress, tension and trauma. Like we have have an inbuilt response to clench and tighten, protecting ourselves from we also have a way to let go and release this tension.

Neurogenic tremors are found in all mammals. After doing TRE®, many people report feelings of peace and well-being. When neurogenic tremors have been activated, the self-intelligence of the whole organism starts a process of restoring balance and relaxation to the body.

The Exercises are designed to mildly stress a core group of muscles, and when the muscles begin to get fatigued, they start to tremble. Then people who are practicing hold a position that causes more shaking until the tremors will naturally remain activated for a duration that is comfortable.

These have the effect of relaxing the deep tension in our muscles, realigning our fascia and creating better symmetry in our Musculo-skeletal system.

The tremors resolve problems that can’t be reached using massage alone.

The benefit of going through this process is that you become more pain-free and stress-proof.

TRE® is natural, self- taught, self-administrated and self-regulated.

What does Self-Regulation mean?

Note:

This technology is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

TRE® is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people. The TRE process should not be used as a substitute for trauma recovery procedures of a medical or psychiatric/psychological nature. Individuals who have physical or psychological conditions that require strict regulation, individuals with fragile psychological defenses, a complex history of trauma or restricting physical or medical limitations should consult their medical practitioner or a Certified TRE Provider prior to performing these exercises.

Results may vary between individuals.
