tibetan singing bowls massage

The vibrational effects of Sound Healing Massage on one’s body, mind and energy is an incredible inner journey experience to be felt for oneself.

Our body is mostly made of fluids and we know how water react in patterns to a vibration.

Water is Life, fluids have a close relationship to our nervous system’s health on a cellular level.

“My Shiatsu teacher once said “fluids in the body are closely connected with our emotions and Spirit. I was so curious that I never forgot it. My motivation in incorporating Sound Healing to my practice, was to go beyond the analytical mind and connect deeper to the essence of vitality and transformation in a person. I experience it as an internal shower, clearing and refreshing.  ”

Just like water links and transforms vital elements in our being, Vibration seems to be able to both smoothen and boost one’s journey to wellness.

Anne trained both in Nepal with Chaitanyashree and in Hong Kong, with Cesar Tejedor founder of  Massagearoundtheworld.

During a session, after a holistic health assessment, Tibetan singing bowls are placed on different parts of the body while being chimed.  Other bowls might also be used surrounding the body to create varying notes and vibrations.  Clients are resting on a futon matt during the session. Anne combines the Singing bowls with her experience in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Massages.  “The Vibrations, like acupuncture needles, are amazingly efficient to help vital energy flow freely. In the same way, Shiatsu strokes and pressures are helping the vibration, and mind of the recipient to connect deeply. It is a good synergy and people disconnect from their worry and experience the present moment.”

Results can vary from a deep sense of relaxation, to relief from physical and/or emotional pain, a sensation of lightness as the body lets go of past emotional and physical issues.

How does it work?

During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta. Sound tools entrain the brain to move into the deeper Alpha and Theta brain wave frequencies. These are the frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition. Modern medicine can now measure and thus confirm the practice of sound as a means to promote healing. Thus, sound is a type of energy medicine that creates the sacred space in which people can heal from stress disorders, pain, depression, the emotional roller coaster and more.  Ancient instruments, including Tibetan singing bowls are ‘struck and sung’ in specific rhythmic patterns to create vibrational sound harmonics at the frequency of “AUM” or “OM”. This sound frequency known as that of Perfection impacts the sympathetic nervous system as your brain waves synchronize to the vibrations of the bowls. The harmonic vibrations engage the relaxation reflex and slow down the respiratory, brain and heart rate and disrupt the pain reflex creating a deep sense of well-being.
