On behalf of all of us at The Women’s Foundation, we would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to The Moving Touch for so generously supporting our recent Gala Fundraising Dinner.
Thanks to your support, we are pleased to be able to share with you the happy news that we raised close to HK$2mm for women and girls’ causes in Hong Kong.
We are still in fund-raising mode but the good news is that the funds we secured at the Dinner mean that we can start moving forward with our exciting community and research programs planned for this year.
These include:
* a financial literacy program for marginalised women
* a leadership program for under-privileged teens
* a life skills program for teen girls
* an update of our research in the Status of Women & Girls in Hong Kong
Clearly, across the world, there is a growing realization of the important role which women play in economic growth and the imperative for gender equality and women’s equal rights to education and jobs. We believe that in partnership with you, we can build that movement in Hong Kong!
